Turnip top is the vegetable par excellence, its taste and smell are unmistakable.

Born in Cerignola, in the province of Foggia, after graduating in Law in 1992, she left Italy for the United States with destination San Francisco.

In California a he continued his forensic studies alternating them with those in graphic design.

The work at the Higher Grounds, coffee house, was the first real contact with the kitchen and will always be in my heart.

She then moved to Austin where she has graduated in Culinary Arts.

It is there – thanks to the experience at the Driskill Grill – that she further developed his discipline and technique, working a lot on sharpness, definition and concentration of flavours.

In 2005, having returned to Italy from the Convivio dei Fratelli Troiani in Rome, she arrives at her Glass Hostaria, in the heart of Trastevere, one of the most famous and touristic districts of the city.

Thanks to the great success of Glass – Michelin star since 2010 and 3 Gambero Rosso forks since 2020 – she has been able to express itself in new restaurant projects and important consultancies including Romeo, Ape Romeo, the Frigo ice cream shop, the Giulietta pizzeria and the Cups format.

Bistrot Assaggio at Fiumicino Terminal 3 with Autogrill, MAXXI in Rome and finally Buono restaurant in Turkey.

Now the new big project is in Xi’en in China for the opening of Glass.

Since 2016 he has been President of the Ambasciatori del Gusto, an inclusive association created to enhance the Italian food and wine identity and environmental sustainability all over the world and she is a member of Chef Manifesto.

Supporter of numerous charities, such as Telefono Rosa (of which she has been Ambassador since February 2018), Restaurants against Hunger, FioranoForKids, ActionAid, Komen, Caritas and IEO.

She has received various awards but the ones she is most proud of are “Female Chef of the Year” from FoodCommunity and the LoveItalianLife Award as “Best Female Italian Chef in Europe”.
